August 1 – 23, 2008 Communi-Serve
Objectives:
- To identify and conduct a number of service projects during the first 3 weeks of August 2008 by combining our people and financial resources.
- To grow in Community with others in the body of Christ as we serve together.
- To build relational bridges with others in our Community as we serve to meet a need.
- To be prepared for, pray for, and look for opportunities while serving to give those we are serving (or serving with) an authentic opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel.
- To celebrate God and His work in us, among us, and through us during a Community Worship and Praise Event on August 24, 2008, at 5 Rocks Amphitheatre.
Method of Ministry: Emmanuelism – (Showing & Telling)
- Showing God’s love, character, and His presence with us in our community through our service.
- Telling the good news of God’s grace and truth as God is recognized through us to those who are willing to hear.
Scriptural Focus: Matt. 28:18-20; Luke 10:1-24; John 1:14; 2 Cor. 3
